Description
The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens is Nikon’s smallest Z-Mount prime lens, with superior optical performance delivering next-level clarity, and sharpness.
The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens is Nikon‘s smallest, and lightest Z-Mount prime lens, with superior optical performance delivering next-level clarity, and sharpness.
The classic focal length of 28mm makes the Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens the perfect companion for candid street walks, architecture, interiors, and situational portraits.
On a DX-format Z camera, you get a 42mm equivalent view for natural snapshots, videos, portraits, and more.
The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens features a minimum focusing distance of 19cm rewarding you for getting close to your subjects. With an aperture range from f/2.8 through to f/16, this 28mm lens is ideal for any lighting situation providing clarity, and sharpness throughout the aperture range.
Exceptional fast, and accurate focusing capabilities are achieved by two high-speed, ultra-quiet stepping motors moving in sync with each other which is a first for non-S-Line Z Lenses.
The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens is an outstanding option for video applications as well as it greatly suppresses focus breathing preventing the angle of view shifts during recording.
A natural shift in brightness can be achieved by making smooth adjustments to the iris ring. Furthermore, the dual stepping motors work in near silence to preserve audio integrity.
Stepping Motor
The Lens uses a stepping motor for fast, accurate, smooth, and quiet autofocus with reduced wobbling. This quiet stepping motor drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
IF Lens
When focusing with the Lens only the internal lens groups shift, therefore the lens size does not change during autofocusing. This allows for a lightweight and small form factor allowing you closer to your subject.
Aspherical Lens
Featuring a curved, non-spherical surface.
This is used to provide a smaller-sized lens and reduce aberrations such as coma and other types of lens aberrations throughout the aperture range.
The curved, non-spherical surface enables the Lens to reduce the number of standard (spherical) elements needed.
Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism
The electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the barrel enables highly accurate aperture blade control for when auto exposure is used during continuous shooting.
Super Integrated Coating
Super Integrated Coating suppresses flare, and ghosting for improved contrast, and colour fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
