The lens delivers excellent point-image reproduction and elaborates rendering with its large f/0.95 aperture; and also performs well in low-light conditions, regardless of the environment – making it the ideal lens for nightlife photography.
A lens that truly delivers striking and flawless high-resolution images, along with pleasing bokeh at its maximum aperture is all thanks to the new glass elements incorporated. The lens construction consists of a precision large-diameter ground aspherical lens element with a high-refractive-index, that’s used to dramatically improve aberration correction; a combination of two anti-reflection coatings to effectively prevent ghosting and flare from multiple directions, with the new ARNEO Coat for vertical incidental light and Nano Crystal Coat for diagonal incidental light. Fluorine Coating has also been applied to the front lens element to repel dust, dirt and moisture – for enhanced image clarity throughout its focal length.
